| Shell Deer Park Refinery Maintenance Turnaround
A planned maintenance turnaround involving 19 process units at Shell Deer Park Refining Company will occur from Jan. 10 to mid-February. Major units to be temporarily shut down are Distilling-2 (270,000 barrels/day), Selective Hydrocracker (67,000 barrels/day) and Delayed Coker (85,000 barrels/day).
The turnaround involves regularly scheduled maintenance as well as replacement of four Coker drums. Contract workers onsite will peak at more than 3,000.
The refinery will operate at reduced rates during the turnaround with Distilling-1 (70,000 barrels/day) and other downstream units.
