| Employee motorcycle club rides to raise money for kids Some 30 members of Shell Deer Park's motorcycle club, Shell on Wheels, rolled through the Houston Ship Channel area on a 35-mile route with more than 1,100 other area riders on April 29 to raise money for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. The Houston Ride for Kids event raised about $227,000 for the foundation. Shell Deer Park's Terry Sims was the top individual fundraiser, bringing in more than $17,000. Pasadena, Texas Mayor John Manlove (front row, first on left) rode with the Shell team. The Shell on Wheels club was formed in 2006 to participate in Houston-area charity events and "fun" rides. This is the second year Shell has participated in the Ride for Kids. |
