Shell Deer Park and Deer Park High School Team Up for Boys and Girls Harbor January 28, 2010 -- Shell Deer Park Volunteers joined students from the Deer Park High School Building Trades classes to repair and paint a screened porch at a Boys & Girls Harbor residential cottage. In all, 28 students participated over two days to help make the cottage livable once again, by installing new screens, cutting and installing trim and painting. Prior to the on-site work, the students acquired supplies and prepared the materials needed for the job, and the Shell volunteers pitched in to help finish up the work. Teacher Roy Giordano said, "Having the opportunity to help others in the community was a great experience for the students." Shell Deer Park is a long-time supporter of Boys & Girls Harbor through financial support, food donations and volunteer hours.
